What is a CBN Grinding Wheel?
A CBN (Cubic Boron Nitride) grinding wheel uses CBN abrasive grains, a super-hard material second only to synthetic diamond. With outstanding hardness, durability, and thermal stability, CBN is ideal for precision grinding—especially when machining hardened steels and high-strength ferrous materials.
CBN wheels are widely recognized as the optimal solution for high-hardness metals, particularly steels that have undergone heat treatment. Unlike diamond, CBN does not react with iron at high temperatures, making it the preferred abrasive for ferrous materials.
