Dymax MD 1040-M - Autoclave Resistant Encapsulant, Potting & Bonding Adhesive
Dymax MD 1040-M is a high-performance, autoclave-resistant adhesive, encapsulant, and coating designed for medical applications requiring durability through 100+ sterilization cycles, including autoclave and STERRAD™ hydrogen peroxide-plasma processes. With exceptionally low water absorption (0.5%), this material is ideal for protecting electronic components and medical sensors from moisture ingress.
Formulated without IBOA, a known skin sensitizer, and compliant with ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity standards, 1040-M is safe for use in surgical tools, reusable medical devices, RFID encapsulation, dental instruments, and endoscopic assemblies. It provides reliable adhesion to materials such as stainless steel, aluminum, glass, polypropylene, polyethylene, and PCBs.
This one-part, solvent-free resin cures in seconds under broad-spectrum UV or 365nm LED light, enabling high-speed processing and reduced production time.
