Dymax MD 209-CTH – Multipurpose Fluorescing Catheter Bonding Adhesive
Dymax MD 209-CTH is a high-performance UV/Visible light-curable adhesive developed for fast and reliable catheter assembly. Designed to bond both flexible and rigid plastics as well as metals, it is ideal for medical device manufacturing. This adhesive cures in seconds and fluoresces blue under low-intensity black light (365 nm) for easy visual inspection of bond lines.
MD 209-CTH bonds effectively to a wide range of substrates including PC, PVC, ABS, PMMA, PA, and stainless steel. It is particularly suitable for manifold-to-lumen, hypotube-to-hub, and balloon-to-lumen bonding in catheter production.
Formulated without solvents, Dymax adhesives cure rapidly upon light exposure, enabling faster assembly, reduced cycle times, and lower processing costs. When paired with Dymax curing systems—spot lamps, focused beam lamps, or conveyors—the adhesive achieves optimal curing speed and depth for maximum efficiency.
