SpeedMask 706 is a UV light-curable, high-viscosity maskant designed to protect surfaces and cavities during acid stripping, machining, air plasma spray, and cooling hole masking in turbine components. Ideal for manufacturing, repair, and rework of blades, vanes, and engine parts, the product ensures reliable surface protection under harsh thermal and chemical processes.
Formulated as a sprayable thixotropic gel, it offers high adhesion and easy automated dispensing and curing. SpeedMask 706 cures rapidly with light exposure and is easily removed by incineration at temperatures above 650Ā°C [1200Ā°F], leaving a clean, residue-free surface.
Compatible substrates include nickel superalloys and high-temperature steels. The 100% organic resin is solvent-free, allowing for faster processing and lower production costs.
