SpeedMask 718 is a UV/Visible light-curable maskant formulated for thermal spray coating applications such as APS (Air Plasma Spray), HVOF (High-Velocity Oxy-Fuel), wire arc spray, and D-gun coating. This fast-curing thixotropic gel delivers excellent surface and cavity protection, supporting the manufacturing, overhaul, repair, and rework of turbine blades, vanes, and related engine components.
The material demonstrates high adhesion on recommended surfaces like nickel alloys and high-temperature steels, yet is easily removed by incineration at a minimum of 650Ā°C [1200Ā°F], leaving no residue.
Dymax materials are solvent-free and cure upon exposure to UV or visible light, allowing for rapid processing and lower production costs. When used with Dymax spot, beam, or flood lamps or conveyor systems, they deliver optimum curing depth and speed for maximum efficiency.
