SpeedMask 724 is a UV/Visible light-curable maskant designed for surface protection during shot-peening, grit-blasting, powder coating, and parts-handling operations. It supports the manufacture, repair, overhaul, and rework of turbine blades, vanes, and other engine components. The product also protects components during airflow testing of cooling holes in both coated and uncoated turbine airfoils.
This medium-viscosity gel cures rapidly and can be easily peeled off without leaving residue when properly exposed to light. Substrates protected include nickel alloys, titanium, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, cobalt, ABS, and glass. The material meets ISO 10993-5 cytotoxicity standards, making it suitable for sensitive applications.
Dymax materials are solvent-free and cure in seconds with UV or visible light. When cured using Dymax spot, beam, or flood lamps or conveyor systems, they ensure maximum curing speed, deep penetration, and high throughput.
