SpeedMask 730-BT is a UV/Visible light-curable maskant designed to provide excellent surface protection during chemical milling, etching, plating, anodizing, shot peening, sandblasting, and grit-blasting operations. It is widely used in the manufacture, repair, and rework of metal components found in aerospace engines (turbines, vanes, blades), orthopedic implants, and other industrial applications requiring temporary masking.
This fast-curing organic resin is ideal for both spray and dip masking methods. It replaces conventional solvent- or water-based maskants that are often hazardous and time-consuming. The product does not require mixing prior to use and features a high-visibility blue color, allowing for accurate placement on components.
Once cured, SpeedMask 730-BT provides durable protection against chemical processing involving materials such as nickel alloys, steel, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, and glass. The cured maskant can be easily peeled off and is trimmable for detailed finishing.
Dymax materials are solvent-free and cure rapidly upon exposure to light. When used with Dymax spot lamps, focused beam systems, flood lamps, or conveyor systems, they deliver maximum curing speed and production efficiency.
