SpeedMask 731-REV-A is a light-curable, thixotropic masking gel that delivers exceptional protection during vibratory finishing, plating, shot-peening, anodizing, and aggressive grit-blasting operations. It is widely used in the manufacturing, repair, and finishing of metal parts such as turbine blades, vanes, orthopedic implants, and general aerospace components.
The product appears bright yellow before cure, allowing easy visual confirmation of application. Once cured, it fluoresces yellow under low-intensity black light, making in-line quality inspection fast and simple.
This 100% organic resin cures quickly and can be trimmed cleanly after cure. It is easily removed by soaking in hot water and leaves no residue when properly applied and cured. It is designed for spray application and shows strong adhesion to materials including nickel alloys, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, cobalt, and glass.
Dymax materials are solvent-free and cure upon exposure to UV or visible light. They enable rapid processing, reduced cycle time, and lower production costs. Curing is optimized when used with Dymax UV light-curing systems such as spot lamps, focused beam lamps, flood lamps, or conveyors, which deliver the ideal UV-visible balance for deep and fast curing.
