The BlueLight Small Area UVC Flash Disinfection System by Excelitas is an advanced, high-intensity pulsed UVC solution that delivers instant, reliable, and mercury-free disinfection — eliminating the need for chemicals or conventional UV sources.
Engineered for superior microbial control, the system achieves greater than 4-log reduction, operating efficiently at process rates up to 500 m² per hour. Initially designed for disinfection of beverage caps, lids, sealing films, and food packaging, the BlueLight technology has proven equally effective on various other surfaces, including organic materials requiring hygienic treatment.

The Flash Control Cabinet (FCC) features an intuitive HMI touchscreen interface housed in a stainless-steel IP69-rated enclosure, designed for hygienic, waterproof, and wash-down operation in food production environments.
At the core of the system, the Flash Lamp Module (FLM) integrates a dual-lamp cartridge that generates intense photonic energy for rapid microbial elimination.

BlueLight SteriBelt UVC Disinfection System
BlueLight SteriBelt UVC Disinfection System is a high-performance UVC system designed specifically for disinfecting the surfaces of conveyor belts in the meat processing industry. Food producers encounter numerous challenges related to HACCP hygiene regulations, particularly concerning the disinfection of conveyor belts. The BlueLight SteriBelt UVC system effectively addresses these challenges, making it an ideal solution for food safety.
Due to the flat geometry of the indium amalgam lamps used in the Steribelt module, more than 50% of the emitted power is effectively concentrated directly onto the targeted surface. This design feature not only maximizes light output but also minimizes energy loss, leading to a substantial enhancement in overall operational efficiency. The Upper-Air Concept
As pathogens pass through the active UVC disinfection zone, the UVC light damages the pathogens’ DNA/RNA, preventing its ability to replicate and effectively inactivating its ability to infect and spread. This continuous disinfection offers higher levels of effectiveness when compared to other traditional UV lamp-based air germicidal treatments at lower power.

Occupant-Safe Operation
As safety is critical in UVC disinfection, Excelitas sets the industry standard with a three-tiered sensor monitoring system to ensure safe operation, even in fully occupied rooms:
- Tilt Sensor:a safety feature to ensure no harmful UVC energy is emitted into the lower part of the room.
- Presence Sensor:detects anyone in the UVC central emission field (i.e. changing a lightbulb on a ladder) and immediately turns off the UVC emission until the emission field is clear.
- Motion-Activated Occupancy Sensor and Switch:detects movement in the room and allows the user to select their inpidual operating preference using a three position selectable switch.
Excelitas meets a stringent UL-8802 standard which limits the amount of UVC energy into the lower part of the room, assuring safe operation.
Effective Pathogen Elimination

Air D UVC Disinfection System
Air D UVC Disinfection System provides quick and easy disinfection without the use of chemicals, utilizing ultraviolet radiation, commonly known as ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI). This method of air disinfection significantly reduces the risk of infection and enhances the well-being of occupants. The Air D in-duct disinfection modules are designed to fit seamlessly into any supply air ductwork system. Its UV-C (UVGI) lamps are highly effective, require minimal maintenance, are ozone-free, and are built to last.
The Air D UVC system is an ideal solution for disinfecting air in large rooms or buildings with forced-air heating and cooling systems, whether in a production area, hotel, public institution, offices, museum, or airport, including clean rooms and areas with low temperatures.
Studies indicate that the risk of infection in open-plan offices is high, and maintaining appropriate distances can be challenging in production environments. Indoor air quality is crucial, as adequate ventilation significantly reduces the risk of infection in shared spaces. However, implementing proper ventilation can be difficult. Consequently, the risk of infection rises notably in poorly ventilated areas or those that cannot be adequately ventilated.
Some buildings must operate their ventilation systems in recirculation mode for energy efficiency or air quality purposes, which also heightens the risk of infection. Due to limited fan capacity for supply air, increasing airflow or adding filtration media to the supply air ducts may not be feasible. Utilizing UVC light for air disinfection (UVGI) is one of the most effective and economical solutions. The Air D system is an ideal in-duct option for forced-air heating and cooling systems.
