The X-Cite TETREM 4-Channel LED Illumination System is a compact, high-performance LED light source designed specifically for fluorescence microscopy applications. Engineered for simplicity, reliability, and flexibility, TETREM delivers stable and precise excitation for the most widely used fluorophores, making it an ideal solution for routine imaging as well as live cell experiments.
TETREM provides four independently controlled LED channels, covering the key spectral bands required to excite common fluorescent dyes, including DAPI, FITC, mCherry/TRITC, and Cy5. For UV excitation, users can select between 365 nm or 385 nm configurations to match their preferred DAPI filter set, ensuring optimal excitation efficiency and system compatibility.
Each LED channel can be operated inpidually or simultaneously, allowing seamless use with both single-band and multi-band filter cubes. Independent channel control helps minimize spectral bleed-through when using multi-band filters and enables UV-free illumination for reflected light applications. Intensity levels for each channel can be precisely adjusted to optimize fluorophore excitation or to achieve a desired white light balance.
The system is equipped with the X-Cite smartDIAL controller, featuring a modern and intuitive interface with large tactile buttons, illuminated channel indicators, and an integrated OLED display. This design allows users to easily monitor and adjust wavelength and intensity information for all four channels in real time, ensuring efficient and accurate operation.
With its small footprint, cost-effective design, and long LED lifetime, the X-Cite TETREM is a versatile and practical choice for research laboratories, imaging facilities, and clinical environments.
